1. Check your eligibility

Please only apply if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • You are a UK registered charity.
  • Your work takes place in the UK.
  • Your latest annual income was above £1m.
  • Your key beneficiaries are children and young people (for the work you are applying for funding for) OR your organisation benefits the public good by encouraging data transparency, access to impartial information and the collection and analysis of useful data.

2. Draft your short proposal

Your proposal should be a clear and well-structured document, no longer than two pages of A4.

The document should include:

  • Organisational overview including activities
  • Evidence of impact
  • Leadership
  • Funding need
  • Planned activities
  • Amount of funding sought
  • Overview of budget and other funders

3. Submit your proposal

Once complete, submit your proposal via email to charitabletrusts@ludlowtrust.com clearly marked “The Mohn Westlake Foundation”. There’s no need to attach your latest set of accounts when you send the proposal over to us.

We aim to assess proposals within 2-3 months. If you are unsuccessful, we do provide topline feedback on request.
